Refrigerator NEC Codes
The receptacle for the refrigerator can be put on one of the small appliance branch circuits. However, depending on the size of the refrigerator, it is normally a good idea to put it on its own circuit.
Some cords for refrigerators are located at the top. If the receptacle is located at the normal height, it may not reach. It's a good idea to locate the refrigerator receptacle about 3 feet above the floor.
